The Educational Programme

The educational programme follows the curriculum of the IB (International Baccalaureate®), a Geneva-based international education foundation which since the 'Sixties has been running a programme designed specifically for internationally-oriented schools that has been adopted by over 3.000 institutes in 140 countries.

In 1987 the Italian parliament passed a law which gives equal recognition of the IB to Italian High Schools for university admission and the official mechanism for recognizing IB schools in Italy was completed in 1992.

English is the language of tuition at the International Schools. Students who do not speak it receive special support (EAL programme – English as Additional Language). Italian is taught at different levels depending on the competence of the student. Mother tongue Italian students attend separate classes from those who are learning it for the first time.
